The Daily Business Journal's annual Managing Partners Survey today contained an article on diversity issues discussed at the Daily Business Review's third annual Managing Partner's Summit. Joseph Zumpano's comments on diversity issues at the Summit were extensively quoted in the article. Mr. Zumpano stated that "it's important to try to avoid the stereotype that attorneys who are mothers have to work on a separate track of growth within the firm." The article cited the fact that ZP&W has "six moms out of 23 lawyers" and quoted Mr. Zumpano as stating that "It's time to put away the special track nonsense. There's no such thing here. We don't like it. We think it creates a fracture between people at the law firm."
