On August 22, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida issued its opinion ordering summary judgment in favor of our client Parrish Medical Center (PMC). The opinion and groundbreaking decision has now been covered by news outlets nationwide, including Yahoo! Finance and Becker’s Hospital Review.


The published opinion of the Court has potential implications for hospitals nationwide. The opinion clarifies that hospital bylaws may allow issues outside of clinical competence to be considered when evaluating a physician’s application for renewal of privileges.
