Jamaal Jones published an article titled, The Intersection of Privacy and Compliance Plans, featured in Pharmaceutical Compliance Monitor. In this article, Mr. Jones addresses the multiple concerns of the importance of compliance and its intersection with privacy and private health information. Specifically, Mr. Jones' piece lists several privacy issues that should be addressed in any compliance plan: (1) communications with the FDA and other governmental agencies; (2) marketing and educational activities; (3) data mining; (4) adherence and equipment maintenance programs; (5) clinical research; and (6) security of information.
