Ayesha R. Mehdi is Partner-in-Charge of the Las Vegas office of Zumpano Patricios & Helsten, PLLC.
Ms. Mehdi represents healthcare institutions and practitioners under Nevada and federal healthcare law. Her work primarily involves physician and dental practices, pharmacies, nurse practitioners, and management services organizations, and includes advising health systems in connection with regulatory, transactional, and compliance matters. Her regulatory practice addresses matters involving the Corporate Practice of Medicine doctrine, Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA, and state and federal fraud and abuse laws.

Ms. Mehdi serves on the Board of Governors of the University of Kansas School of Law and has taught health law and governance as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She has held leadership roles within national and regional healthcare law organizations and speaks at healthcare-focused conferences, and has received professional recognition for her work, including honors as one of the Leading Lawyers of Las Vegas and Top Lawyers.
Ms. Mehdi earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Walsh College (Michigan), a Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law, and a Master of Health Services Administration from the University of Kansas Medical Center. She holds a Master of Laws in National and Global Health Law from Georgetown University Law Center.
