Jonathan Zwibel is Of Counsel for Zumpano Patricios. He served a 32-year career with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Chief Counsel, including 20 years as Deputy Associate Chief Counsel in the Southeast and Caribbean Region. At CBP, he managed a team of attorneys and advised officials at the ports of entry regarding the customs laws and regulations.  His practice focuses on international trade and travel, including the carriage of cargo and passengers to and from the U.S., customs-bonded carriers and facilities, import and export procedures and declarations, and customs penalties and seizures. His practice also focuses on U.S. import laws and treaties protecting looted and stolen cultural antiquities from illicit international trafficking. Additionally, Mr. Zwibel is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Miami School of Law and teaches two courses: (1) Customs Law, and (2) Cultural Property and Antiquities Trafficking. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami. While attending law school, he was an Articles and Comments Editor for the University of Miami Business Law Review.
