Jose R. Lopez-Varela is an Associate at Zumpano Patricios. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami, School of Law. While attending the University of Miami, Mr. Lopez-Varela served as the Vice President of Advanced Appellate Advocacy II for the Charles C. Papy Moot Court Board. During his time in law school, Mr. Lopez-Varela served as a judicial intern for Chief Magistrate Judge John O’Sullivan of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He also worked at Zumpano Patricios as a law clerk where he gained experience in various areas of law such as commercial litigation and post-judgment garnishment proceedings.
